Transparent translation of design data to environmental impact data
Paper in proceeding, 2006

This article presents the work with eco-efficient design in an ongoing project aimed at implementing method and tool integration with corporate business processes in a number of industrial companies. The study is based on a translation of design data to environmental impact data by linking the RAVEL Design for Environment (DfE) method to the life cycle impact assessment (LCIA) method EPS. The result from this study demonstrates that it is in principle possible to transparently prioritize between different environmental performance indicators by using LCIA methods.
