Ultralow-loss Silicon Nitride Waveguides for Parametric Amplification

We report net gain in a continuous-wave-pumped parametric amplifier implemented in a meter-long dispersion-engineered silicon nitride waveguide. These results are enabled by the record-low loss (1.4dB/m) of the waveguide.
