Survey of measurements and simulations of natural and forced convection in insulation

This report is a survey of the literature about measurements and simulations of convection in attic insulation and in wall insulation. The report focuses on the onset of natural convection but also discusses the influence of forced convection. It covers experimental studies in small-scale measurement apparatus, large-scale laboratory measurements and in situ measurements. Numerical and theoretical work on convection are included when relevant to attic or wall insulation.
