The Control of Nitrogen Oxides in Oxy-Fuel Combustion
Övrigt konferensbidrag, 2011

The present paper discusses solutions whereby NOx emissions from coal-fired oxy-fuel combustion may be controlled. The paper includes a presentation of reduction measures and possible limitations on the presence of NOx as well as a discussion on different scenarios for NOx reduction strategies. The investigation identifies three areas crucial for the design of future NOx strategies in oxy-fuel power plants: limitations on the presence of NOx, the oxidation of NO and related reactions, and the optimization of the combustion process.
