Collaboration strategies in university-industry relationships
Övrigt konferensbidrag, 2012

We provide a descriptive case study of firms’ collaboration strategies in two university-industry research centers. The reported case suggests that (large) firms are primarily interested in gaining fundamental understanding and access to networks rather than developing directly applicable innovations and applied research when interacting. Moreover, KIE ventures interact and collaborate with universities and academics to some extent for different reasons than large established firms, primarily due to their limited resources and low visibility in terms of recruitments.
