Chao Lei

Postdoc at Communication, Antennas and Optical Networks

Chao Lei received his Ph.D. from the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China, in 2023.  He is now a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Optical Networks (ON) unit of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. Chao was a Guest Researcher at Chalmers and has visited at KTH in Sweden during 2022-2023. His research interests include Quantum-ROADM (Switching and Routing in Quantum internet), Physical-layer secure optical communication (Such as Quantum noise stream cipher, Secure key distribution, Integration of encryption and key distribution in Physical-layer), Coherent optical communication, and Artificial intelligence. etc.

He is the author of more than twenty scientific publications and conference papers in the area of secure optical communication in the physical layer, including Journal of Lightwave Technology, IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, Post Deadline Paper at the Asia Communications and Photonics Conference (ACP) in 2020, and Optical Fiber Communication Conference (OFC). etc. Chao was a reviewer of IEEE Photonics Technology Letters.
