Margaret Holme
Maggie Holme and her team work on the design, characterisation and application of lipid self assembled structures for biomedical applications. Particular systems of interest include vesicles with complex lipid compositions, which mimic the lipid distribution seen in extracellular vesicles produced by cells.
Her work relies heavily on small angle neutron and X-ray scattering for in-depth characterisation of lipid phase behaviour and particle morphology. With collaborators she also develops sample environments and data analysis tools for these techniques.
