Mohammad Arjomandi Rad

Doctoral Student at Product Development

I have studied the design process of car airbags and similar complex products. I use computer methods to determine how these products will function without the need for repeated simulations/tests. My goal is to utilize the results of some previous evaluations to enhance future designs. For highly iterative and simulation-driven design processes, this can be accomplished by leveraging the capabilities of data-centric methodologies (such as predictors and classifiers) to optimize the exploration of the design space and improve the efficiency of the product development lifecycle. I have also previously worked on FEM, Experimental tests, ANNs, Engineering Optimization, Reliability-based and robust design, and Decision-making methods.
