Dariusz scientific interest is mainly focused on studies of crystal and magnetic structure of novel materials, with the use of diffraction techniques such as x-ray and neutron diffraction. He study a wide spectrum of materials with a potential application in molecular sieving, batteries, and solid oxide fuel cells. Dariusz is also involved in the development of the IMAT instrument at the ISIS facility in the UK.
