Abdullah-Al Amin

Abdullah-Al Amin is a Postdoc researcher in the Biomedical Electromagnetics research group. His focus is to apply microwave tomography for biomedical imaging, especially for breast tumor imaging and characterization for cancer detection.
Microwave imaging has vast potential in many medical applications. It provides larger and clearer contrast between healthy tissue and tumor, does not use ionizing radiation, thus, has the potential of providing more accurate and safer diagnosis than X-ray based mammography.
The study involves developing, testing and verifying a prototype for clinical evaluation.
