Cecilia Burzio

Doctoral Student at Chalmers, Architecture and Civil Engineering, Water Environment Technology

Cecilia is a doctoral student at the Division of water environment technology, research theme Process techniques for wastewater treatment, at Chalmers. Her research addresses the removal of Pharmaceuticals and Personal Care Products (PPCPs) in wastewater via biological treatment processes. The overall aim of the project is to understand the fate of the micropollutants in aerobic granular and floccular activated sludge reactors and the operational strategies to optimize their performance towards removal of PPCPs. The research will be carried out in collaboration with the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).
