Emma Minarelli

Postdoc at Applied Quantum Physics

I am is postdoctoral researcher working with Tomas Löfwander and Mikael Fogelström group in the Applied Quantum Physics Laboratory at the Department of Nanotechnology and Nanoscience (MC2). My current research is oriented to theoretical modelling of quantum skyrmion systems for experiments performed at the  Quantum Device Physics Laboratory in MC2.I was awarded as research grant holder for my PhD project funded by Irish Research Council Enterprise Partnership Scheme with Intel as industry partner and I obtained my PhD in theoretical nanoelectronics in 2022 from University College Dublin. There, under the supervision of Prof. Andrew K. Mitchell, I worked on Kondo physics. My expertise developped on analytical derivation of alternative quantum transport solutions applicable to interacting nanostructure and on their numerical implementation using numerical renormalization group technique (NRG).
