Evgeniya Bobkova
Jane Bobkova is an urbanist, PhD and a member of the Spatial Morphology Group (SMoG) since May 2016.
She studies the relation between urban diversity and urban form, and aims to identify the fundamental variables of spatial form that contribute to urban diversity and socio-economic performativity. In particular, she investigates the concept of spatial capacity, that is, the impact of land division on urban diversity.
The project has its focus on Gothenburg and will be extended into a comparative analysis of three cities in Sweden cities (Gothenburg, Eskilstuna and Stockholm) and three international capitals (Stockholm, London and Amsterdam) as a part of a larger running research project – the Spatial Morphology Lab. The concept of spatial capacity will contribute to the quantitative and qualitative classification of urban environments.
