Dinko Chakarov
Dinko Chakarov is an experimental physicist in the area of surface science. His research deals with evaluation of the mechanisms of optical excitations in nanoparticles and the related physical and chemical processes at their interfaces. Physics and chemistry of water and carbon materials are of special interest. He received his PhD in Sofia, continued his academic carrier at Cornel University and joined Chalmers in 1991. Additionally to teaching and supervision commitments, he is engaged in scientific leadership and coordination of several national and international projects in the area of nanomaterials and photocatalysis; Chairman of Gothenburg Lise Meitner Award committee.
