Jan Lenning
Jan Lenning is an industrial PhD student at the Service Management and Logistics division. Jan has earlier, during several years, been employed at SONY Mobile Communications and among many duties held the responsibility for managing external audits of the global management system certificates according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. In Jan’s duties is was also included to plan and perform internal audits and mange various improvement projects in above mentioned areas.
Since 2009 Jan is an internationally registered Lead Auditor by IRCA. Jan was during 2016 - 2018 appointed as chairman of the Swedish working group which held the responsibility for revising the guideline for auditing management systems - ISO 19011:2018 and appointed Swedish expert in the corresponding international working group for this guideline.
The purpose of Jan´s research is to advance auditing of quality management systems to become a tool not only for confirming compliance to requirements such as ISO 9001, but also to support value creation beyond assuring compliance to management system standards. This research target auditors of management systems, persons responsible for management systems and audit programs, but also organizations training auditors. Furthermore, findings from Jan´s research are also valid for other types of audits, for example financial audits.
