Johan Eklund
Johan is working with various topics related to high temperature corrosion in biomass- and waste-fired boilers. The main focus of his research is on material solutions for mitigation of the corrosion attack in harsh environments. One promising material solution is the material class known as FeCrAl alloys which is not commonly used in the environment found in biomass- and waste-fired boilers. He has focused on investigating the influence of the alloying elements in FeCrAl alloys on the corrosion behavior of these and the mechanisms behind the effects since the understanding of this is crucial for the implementation of these alloys in the desired application.
