Jordi Piella Bagaria

Postdoc at Chemical Physics

My current research focuses on the development of novel methodologies for achieving the fabrication and synthesis of shape-selected metal nanoparticles on surfaces compatible with a plasmonic nanospectroscopy platform to apply it in the quest of deriving catalytic structure-activity correlations at the single nanoparticle level. Assessing the state, activity, and selectivity of individual nanoparticles during catalytic reactions with high resolution has significant potential to contribute to the development of more efficient catalysts.
