Adolf Krige

Postdoc at Industrial Biotechnology

Adolf Krige joined the Industrial Biotechnology Division as a post doctoral researcher in February 2023. His research focusses on carbon dioxide valorization towards alcohols using Microbial electrosynthesis.

His work focusses on the development of bioelectrochemical systems for chemical production and includes research on the application of defined  co-cultures , biofilm characterization and extracellular electron transport. The research is aimed at finding environmentally friendly sources of fuels and chemicals using carbon dioxide.
