Post doc at Quantum Technology

Superconducting coplanar waveguide (CPW) resonators are vital components in quantum circuits, used as read-out and interconnect elements to qubits. These resonators are fabricated from the same materials and processes as the qubits. The quality factor of resonators can be used to understand and provide a good evaluation of loss and noise originating from nonequilibrium qausiparticles and parasitic two-level systems (TLS). In particular, the location of TLS was found to be at the surface and interface layers, which can be mitigated by engineering better fabrication processes. As a postdoc at Quantum technology laboratory as part of Wallenberg center of quantum technology (WACQT) at Chalmers University, my work is to improve and develop a novel fabrication for better resonators, which will help realize more efficient and reliable quantum computers.
