Lucas Fine

Doctoral Student at Energy and Material

Lucas Fine is a PhD student at the Energy and Materials division under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Maths Karlsson. His project focuses on the study of hydride-ion dynamics in oxyhydride perovskites using neutron scattering techniques and first-principles calculations. Besides being of fundamental interest, this research may help in the development of new ion conducting materials towards energy-relevant technological applications, such as solid oxide fuel cells. This project is jointly funded and hosted by the Laue-Langevin Institute (ILL, Grenoble, France), a large neutron research facility.
