My main research interests lie in the study of evolved stars on the Asymptotic Giant Branch (AGB) and their mass-loss properties. I use observational data from, e.g., Herschel/HIFI, APEX, the IRAM 30m telescope, and ALMA to constrain the mass-loss rates, the mass-loss geometry, and the chemical properties of the circumstellar envelopes. I am particularly interested in the change in mass-loss properties during a thermal pulse, and the formation of detached shells around evolved stars.
