Meera Christopher

Postdoc at Industrial Biotechnology

Enzyme discovery and applications

Dr. Meera Christopher holds a PhD in Biological Sciences from the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), India. Her expertise lies in enzymology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and fermentation technology. With a strong focus on sustainable biotechnology, she works on the discovery and utilization of microbial enzymes, particularly fungal CAZymes.

As a postdoctoral researcher in the Olsson Group, Dr. Christopher's research centers around the exploration, characterization, and utilization of CAZymes from extremophilic fungi. Her work aims to harness the unique enzymatic capabilities of these organisms to develop innovative and eco-friendly products and processes from renewable materials like lignocellulose.
