Mohammadreza Safaritirtashi received his Ph.D. degree in Power Systems from Lund University, Sweden in March 2018. His PhD research has focused on power system dynamics and stability. Particularly he did work on voltage and damping controls in bulk power systems. Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the Division of Electric Power Engineering working on adaptive models for grid behavior prediction with high penetration of renewables. Moreover, the focus of the project would be on optimized Power System Stabilizer (PSS) concepts and also tuning methods using remote signals. The goal of the given task is to improve the European power system damping when high penetration of renewables is integrated in the grid.
