Daniel Weber
In my research, I blend solid state, nano and molecular chemistry to create novel and often metastable inorganic layered materials for energy storage and conversion. After graduating from the Max-Planck-Institute for Solid State Research Stuttgart (Germany), I worked in the group of Prof. J. E. Goldberger (OSU, USA) as a postdoctoral fellow of the German Science Foundation. Afterwards, I returned to Europe as a research associate at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. September 2023 marks the start of my independent research group at Chalmers, which I lead as an assistant professor and fellow of the Wallenberg Initiative for Materials Science for Sustainability (wise-materials.org).
