Starting the Sustainable 6G SNS Initiative for Europe
Research Project, 2022
– 2024
Preparing for Europe’s jump to 6G
Europe’s technology sovereignty in 6G technologies by 2030 is one of the two main missions of the European Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) Initiative. The second is to boost 5G deployment in Europe in view of enabling the digital and green transition of the economy and society. In this context, the EU-funded 6GStart project will facilitate the necessary preparation activities to address strategic areas of the networks and services value chain. Specifically, it will bring the relevant players together to prepare the SNS JU. 6GStart will ensure the timely establishment of inter-project collaboration structures and mechanisms. It will also establish collaborations and promote the achievements of the new 6G SNS initiative.
