2D graduate network
Research Project, 2022 – 2023

Purpose and goal:

The goal is to continue the work with the national network for young researchers active in 2D-materials. This was started as a pilot-study in 2021, in which the need for, and suitable format of, such a national network was investigated.
The initiative has been well received both from participating young researchers and from seniors in industry and academia, indicating that there is both an interest and a need. This project will consolidate the network.

Expected results and effects:

It is of strategic importance to Sweden to cherish young researchers. An active network within a common area creates opportunities for cross-disciplinary exchanges and collaborations, which in turn broaden the perspective and potential of the young scientists, thereby contributing to sustainable development and innovation related to 2D-materials in Sweden. Groups in academia and industry may be linked through projects born from network exchanges. The aim is to reach more than 40 members and 10 involved universities at the end of 2023.
