A Circular Battery Value Chain for a Sustainable Electrified Society

Purpose and goal
Technologies for electrical energy storage creates opportunities. It enables a fossil-free society. At the same time, emerging sustainable industries can create both economic growth and jobs. The purpose of this project is to harness these opportunities. By including actors from the entire value chain, a clear and ambitious mission that provides direction and commitment will be developed. Based on this mission, a sector-wide impact innovation program will be designed, and an application for such a program will be formulated.
Expected results and effects
Increased national and international collaboration to create a sustainable ecosystem where small and large companies, investors and public actors are engaged. An ecosystem that strengthens the conditions along the entire value chain and drives the transition towards an attractive and well-functioning society. Results: -A formulated mission that provides direction and commitment -A research agenda -An organization and structure for a mission-oriented system innovation program with -An international strategy -An application for an Impact innovation program office.
