National Quantum Communication Infrastructure in Sweden
Research Project, 2023 – 2025

Purpose and goal
To deploy, test quantum key distribution systems tailored to the specific needs of Sweden. This includes validation of different implementations to identify the most effective solutions to fit Sweden’s needs for secure communications in metropolitan, long distance networks and terrestrial-satellite links. To create a national community focussed on advancing quantum technology, foster collaboration between research partners and industrial companies, ranging from Ericsson to emerging spinoffs.

Expected results and effects
Creation of a national testbed for secure quantum communication technologies Development of user cases and training of skilled workforce in quantum communications in Sweden Integration of the Swedish infrastructure in the pan European EuroQCI and cyber security network
