Towards digital transformation: Unpacking ‘sensing’, ‘seizing’ and ‘transforming’ processes in digital delivery of projects
Research Project, 2023 – 2024

The focus of the proposed research project is to understand how dynamic capabilities can be leveraged to proactively address the impacts of digital transformation on the traditional business
models in the construction sector. We draw on the dynamic capabilities view (DCV), a means of understanding how business organizations reconfigure and transform their business models to respond to continuous changes in the business environment, especially regarding everchanging technology. The two case projects selected for this study (i.e. New Slussen, Stockhom and Celsius, Uppsala) have implemented model-based construction (i.e., drawing-less), and digital project delivery process.
