Efficient use of resources in casting technology
Research Project, 2025

Purpose and goal
The project will study and develop technology, materials and competence with focus on die casting of large aluminium components for the automotive industry. This is an area that is growing and developing rapidly within the global automotive industry. The technology offers great opportunities to reduce the environmental impact from materials and manufacturing and can increase the use of recycled material in products. The project will study challenges from a systems perspective.

Expected effects and result
The project aims to identify and develop technology and skills to take the concrete steps that support the planned growth and sustainable industrialization of die casting of large parts. The work in EFFECT will develop and verify technology that aims at the ambitions and objectives defined within the Net Zero Industry program.
