Blue Collaboration
Research Project, 2025 – 2028

The project promotes collaboration between businesses, research, and academia to strengthen the blue bioeconomy in West Sweden. By bridging the gap between industry and research, innovation and sustainable solutions are stimulated. Efforts are tailored to the needs of companies, leading to more effective innovation support and sustainable growth that benefits coastal communities and rural areas. A business network with a shared vision is created for faster problem-solving, more collaborations, and increased innovation, resulting in more startups, jobs, and enhanced competitiveness. The connection to academia, along with a focus on social sustainability, strengthens work on climate, environment, gender equality, and reducing inequality. Through blue collaboration across regional borders, between municipalities, and between industry and academia, West Sweden can consolidate its position as a leading region in the blue bioeconomy, which is the vision for SILLicon Valley.
