AutoEvolve – Autonomous Self-Evolving Systems for the Next Era of Software-Intensive Innovation
Research Project, 2025
– 2026
Purpose and goal
The project aims to establish a Swedish excellence cluster for autonomous self-evolving software-intensive systems. The goal is to develop methods and ecosystems enabling systems to continuously monitor, adapt, and evolve while ensuring compliance, safety, and robustness in industrial and critical applications.
Expected effects and result
Expected results include a consolidated vision, roadmap, and an aligned multi-stakeholder network. Effects include strengthened Swedish competitiveness, shorter innovation cycles, reduced lifecycle costs, and increased capability to deploy safe, sustainable, and resilient digital systems across key sectors.
Planned approach and implementation
The project is structured into three work packages: project management, vision and roadmap development, and stakeholder engagement. Activities include workshops, joint analysis, and coordinated planning, involving universities, industry, SMEs, and public actors to build alignment and long-term collaboration.
