The future ecosystem for quantum-safe health data
Research Project, 2025
– 2027
Purpose and goal
The purpose of the project is, in short, to prepare Sweden for a quantum-secure, competitive and well-functioning healthcare, medical device industry and pharmaceutical industry. The objective is to understand the conditions and prepare the various actors in the ecosystem that handle health data (for primary and secondary use), private and public, large and small, for the migration to quantum-secure IT systems that will be required.
Expected effects and result
Through concrete and case-driven work, we will identify the path (or paths) that are most appropriate to take to migrate different types of health data systems, depending on the conditions, data, technical solutions and actors involved. We will disseminate our insights and recommendations widely to the actors in the health data area, but also to other sectors, for best effect.
Planned approach and implementation
We will work case-driven (with different typical situations and cases), in different working groups, and in each case test, evaluate and prototype the different alternatives and solutions that have been identified as relevant. We will also collaborate with other sectors (nationally and internationally) and disseminate the results, recommendations, practices and solution models that we have developed, with the hope that several of our results are useful and valuable.
