The aim of the winter navigation research projects is to produce publicly available information that can be used to improve services and technologies that influence the Baltic winter navigation system. Safe, efficient and environmentally friendly year- round navigation to Finnish and Swedish ports is the aim of the Baltic winter navigation system. The results of the research projects can also be used by the Customers to improve the Finnish-Swedish ice class rules.
