Weldability of Superalloys - Physical Metallurgy Extension
Research Project, 2013 – 2014

Joining of materials is an efficient means of realizing advanced high performance structures. In gas turbines as well as other advanced products, superalloys constitute the major solution for the highest working temperatures. The aim is to set the fundamental requirements for future process modelling and in this context identify how results generated from laboratory experiments and the Varestraint method could best contribute to this development.
