Support of Learning, Security and Privacy (Intel)
Research Project, 2015 – 2016

In this project, we focus on developing an interdisciplinary course on statistics, cryptography, machine learning, security and privacy. The main objective of the course will be to provide a principled development of privacy and security with strong statistical and cryptographic foundations. For this reason, we shall cover cryptographic techniques for achieving privacy, such as secure multi-party computation, but also cover the emerging area of differential privacy, with significant applications and impact in databases, crowdsourcing and other recently developed areas.
