Good examples - Inspiration to energy efficiency through the entire value chain
Research Project, 2014 – 2016

Research question How do Swedish organizations (both companies and authorities) use the lifecycle perspective today to reduce their carbon footprint and energy use? To reduce the energy use and carbon footprint throughout the whole value chain, it is crucial to apply a lifecycle perspective. There are currently several methods and tools for applying and assessing a lifecycle perspective/lifecycle thinking, but sometimes an understanding, acceptance, and motivation for an active implementation of the perspective in organizations are missing. Important in the project is to highlight good examples of how lifecycle thinking can be practiced in order to reduce the overall environmental and energy impact. Examples from both organizations' own activities and improvements in other stages of the value chain. These will be presented in a popular scientific way and the information is intended to be pedagogical and easily accessible for Swedish actors in businesses (large and SME) and authorities
