Super/semiconductor quantum-noise-limited broadband amplifier (SuperSemiQ)
Research Project, 2016

We propose starting a new collaboration bridging two research communities – semiconductor microwave electronics and superconductor quantum devices – with the goal of developing ultra-low-noise microwave amplifiers for the massively parallel readout of quantum bits of information (qubits) in quantum processors, and for quantum-limited sensor systems that can detect ultra-weak signals ranging from single electric charges within materials to the cosmic microwave background radiation.
