Swedish Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Center
Research Project, 2015 – 2019

The Swedish Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Centre (SHC) is a national centre of excellence for research and development of electric and hybrid vehicles. SHC’s role is to unify Sweden’s competence and serve as a base for collaboration between academia, industry and society. The Centre represents a holistic approach to the area in order to meet the demands of the environment and the society.

SHC’s driving force is to contribute to sustainable and energy efficient road vehicles and utility vehicles by exploring propulsion systems for electric and hybrid vehicles and their connection to the infrastructure, finding the best solutions and analyse the subsystems. We conduct industry-relevant research in the field and carry out
studies of various technologies to assess their potential. We build knowledge and contribute expertise through research and education, promote knowledge transfer between different parts of the society, and facilitate cooperation between industry and academia.
