Climate camp
Research Project, 2018 – 2020

"Climate camp" is a joint project with Chalmers University, Uppsala Municipality, the online platform Svalna and several corporations and organizations operating in Uppsala and on the national level, including, The Swedish Study Promotion Association, the Church of Sweden, Uppsala Public Transit, the municipal housing company Uppsalahem, and the utility company Vattenfall. These parties will work jointly to facilitate a shift to sustainable lifestyles, by informing and engaging with citizens in Uppsala to reduce their climate impact and, in different ways, facilitate behaviour that currently is difficult to undertake. The online service Svalna will serve as a digital platform for the project, by providing users with tailored information on how to reduce their climate impact, and spurring each other by comparing with friends and forming groups. The aim of the project is that 10,000 inhabitants in Uppsala achieve a 5 to 10% reduction of their annual greenhouse gas emissions.
