Atomic and molecular collisions for plasma fusion energy
Research Project, 2018 –

The long term aim of the project is to provide a computational platform containing of code, know-how and computed accurate inelastic atomic cross sections relevant for fusion plasma dynamics and plasma-wall interactions at ITER. The short term goal will be to take the first steps by initiating a collaboration between a world-leading French research group within computational atomic physics and fusion energy researchers at Chalmers. The latter imply setting up contact meetings to define prioritized problems and to perform cross sections calculations on well-defined collision partners at relevant collision energies.
