Control interaction in large PV plants
Research Project, 2019
–
The aim of this work package is to develop methodologies and tools to optimize the controllability of PV power plants of different nature, including large PV power plants connected to the grid and microgrids dominated by PV generation. This project is part of a major project to be conducted in cooperation with the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, Spain. In particular, for 2019 the main objective of this project is to determine investigate conditions where interactions between the different power electronic converters or between the converters and the passive elements of the grid might take place. The final goal is to propose control design guidelines for PV plant engineers and system operators to minimize the risk for interactions.
