Infrastructure for Digitalsation enabling industrialization of Additive manufacturing (IDAG)
Research Project, 2019

The purpose has been to identify and compile gaps where digitization solutions for efficient industrialization of additive manufacturing in complex value chains are needed. The aim was to identify short and long-term measures that have been compiled in a roadmap. Proposed measures were formulated in a project application for a demonstration project "DIDAM" where critical gaps are expected to be demonstrated.

The identified solutions are expected to result in better product and process quality through coordinated simulations and measurement data in the process (Digitala Tvillingar), as well as improved handling and traceability that link process data to the product being manufactured. A third dimension is more efficient handling of, sometimes new, actors where security and intellectual rights. Innovative products and services made possible by AM are expected to enable resource efficient production of next generation products, thus contributing to the UN 2030 objective.
