Maritime Ecosystem Orchestration
Research Project, 2025 – 2026

This collaborative project aims to develop multi-layered and multi-phased orchestration frameworks based on which local port ecosystems such as ‘Digital Port Call’ of Göteborgs Hamn and ‘Port Activity App’ of Gävle Hamn can correspond with global trade and transport ecosystems and promote sustainable shipping. The deliverables of this project would benefit multiple maritime actors which include: (i) ports through smoother operations both at anchorage and shoreside; (ii) shipowners and time charterers through savings in fuel costs; (iii) voyage charterers through minimizing demurrage; and (iv) shippers through greater visibility of supply chains.
