Innovation against Infection
Research Project, 2012 – 2014

The project purpose is to reduce hospital acquired infections, HAI. We will map key processes in healthcare such as hygiene, cleaning, the use of catheters and postoperative wound management. From this data we will identify hidden needs and develop solutions for improved patient safety. The expected result is an established process for collaboration between healthcare, industry and academia leading to innovations for fighting HAI, thereby reducing the overuse of antibiotics and healthcare costs.
