Utvärdering av ny teknik för koldioxidavskiljning i industrin
Research Project, 2016 – 2017

The project will evaluate new technology for carbon dioxide capture from gas streams produced in different industrial sectors in Sweden. The new technology for carbon capture can use low-grade excess heat, instead of high-grade steam, for the desorption of carbon dioxide which makes it very suitable for application in industries where large amounts of excess heat is available, e.g. the iron and steel industry, refining industry and petrochemical industry but also the pulp and paper industry. The project is a collaboration between Lund University and Chalmers University of Technology. The research teams combine experience in the development of new technologies for carbon capture with experience of industrially-based CCS and heat integration in the process industry.
