The aim with SuMo Biomaterials is to perform excellent research, channel the exchange of ideas between academia and companies and to translate academic research into predictive design of materials with tailored mass transport properties in order to strengthen the Swedish biomaterials sector. SuMo Biomaterial´s goal is to continue to develop the research in mass transport area that will contribute to the partners development.
During Stage 4 SuMo will continue to develop the unique SuMo knowledge base in the following areas: prediction of mass transport; generation of 3D structures; and understanding the factors controlling the mass transport in systems such as films/barriers/coatings, fibres and gels. The measurable outputs (scientific papers, well-trained young professionals, etc) and the long term outcomes from SuMo´s research will be of high value to both the academic and the industrial partners. Expected output:50 articles, 10 PhDs, 8 workshops, 4 Patent investigations, 2PhD/Postdocs courses
