INGREPPI - Innovation through establishing Platform Based Development
Research Project, 2016 – 2018

The project aim to support implementation and exploitation of the methodology for Platform Based Development, with associated methods and tools that are the results from nearly 10 years research collaboration between Chalmers, Volvo AB and GKN Aerospace Engine Systems. Two spinn off companies, COPE and YOLEAN, participate as intermediaries who are expected to develop as companies through their participation.
GKN and VOLVO has already exploited parts of these results, but now initiate much broader initiatives based on platform based development and new organisations and people are affected. Significant effort is required to reach the full potential that has been identified. Since expertise reside at Chalmers and the two spinn off companies, a close collaboration is expected.
CHALMERS leads the project and contribute both with training and educational material and activities, as well as collaboration with the partners to follow and measure rate of change and effects. Key areas are both methods for experience sharing and associated engineering modeling and simulation techniques.
