Decreasing operational waste in motor carrier operations - The role of information and enablers
Paper in proceeding, 2011

Previous studies on motor carrier operations have highlighted the need for decrease of waste and operational inefficiency. Even though many studies state that transport operations in general are inefficient, few go into operational details of carrier operations, but often rather deal with mathematical optimization or innovative concepts. This paper presents a model, based on a literature review on how information systems can decrease waste in motor carrier operations.
