Properties of C-12 resonances determined from the B-10(He-3, p alpha alpha alpha) and B-11(He-3, d alpha alpha alpha) reactions studied in complete kinematics
Journal article, 2012

We have used the B-10(He-3, paaa) reaction at 4.9 MeV and the B-11(He-3, daaa) reaction at 8.5 MeV to determine the energy, width, and decay mechanism of resonances in C-12 above the triple-alpha threshold up to 21 MeV in excitation energy. Comparison with various models has allowed us to estimate the degree of clustering of the states studied.
